Trans-Siberian Orchestra Analysis
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a multi-orchestral rock band, that composes of many different instruments and musicians, such as a pianist, violinists, guitarists, and vocalists. TSO began in 1996, when Paul O’Neill, TSO’s manager, was given the opportunity to start his own rock band. His vision later transcended into the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The rock opera played at their Richmond concert was titled “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve”, produced and written by Paul O’Neill. One piece they performed was their piece “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” in which an electric guitar is accompanied by an electric violin along with wind instruments to the tune of “Carol of the Bells”.
