 bright

 perfectly

in
big,
chunky,
black
letters

the
toys
aisle
at
the
supermarket
might
 sound
 intriguing
 by
 calling
 your
 attention,
 and
 making
 you
 smile,
 right?
 It’s
 not
even
funny
if
a
child
feels
the
same,
though.

 
 A
year
ago,
I
experienced
something
really
attention-grabbing
that
made
my
 vision
 towards
 toy
 guns
 change
 completely.
 Walking
 out
 of
 the
 Pirates
 of
 the
Caribbean
ride
at
Disney
World
Orlando,
a
father
was
having
a
serious
 talk
with
one
of
the
magically
disguised
vendor
at
the
gift

And…there
is
even
more
to
this.
Teenagers
are
the
ones
who
are
acting
in
 this
trashy
video.
And
children
look
up
to
older
ones
always.
I
don’t
think
it
is
 an
 example
 to
 be
 killing
 each
 other
 with
 toy
 guns
 in
 a
 commercial
 that
 thousands
 of
 children
 look
 at
 everyday.
 Also,
 it
 is
 funny
 how
 they
 have
 included
people
from
all
races
and
extremities.
In
one
side
we
find
the
cute,
 blonde
girl,
and
on
the
other
the
cool,
mean
boy.

 
 To
finish,
I
would
like
to
mention
that
this
is
only
one
of
the
trillions
of
brands
 there
are
of
toys
this
type.

And
each
brand
has
numerous
advertisements.
 And
more
and
more
children
see
various
advertisements

The
 nature
 of
 writing
 an
 op-ed
 is
 very
 important
 in
 developing
 the
 ability
 to
 express
 yourself
freely
with
a
specific
idea
towards
something.
Also,
writers
spread
their
word
and
 ideals
through
op-eds
easily
because
many
are
published
in
various
newspapers,
and
all
 the
rest
are
in
the
Internet.
These
types
of
tasks
are
intended
to
explore
certain
aspects
of
 the
course.
For
example:
one’s
bias,
persuasion
abilities
together
with
a
person’s
personal
 expression
through
opinions.
The
main
idea
linked
to
this
particular
section
of
the
course,
 is
to
investigate
and
be
able
to
recognize
the
variety
of
ways
of
how
media
today
impacts
 and
reforms
society.
Additionally,
the
topic
I
was
focused
on
for
this
task
specifically
is
how
 toy
 advertisements
 arise
 violence
 in
 children,
 in
 other
 words
 how
 from
 the
 simple
 act
 of
 being
 persuaded
 to
 but
 the
 toy
 guns
 and
 pistols
 from
 the
 colorful
 boxes,
 they
 are
 easily
 guided
into
developing
violence
in
their
daily
activities.
The
techniques
I
used
were
mainly
 humor;
 short
 sentences
 and
 paragraphs,
 exclamations,
 questions,
 comparisons
 and
 diction.
Clearly,
my
topic
links
to
this
part
of
the
course
because
advertisements
take
a
big
 portion
of
media,
and
in
my
case,
the
impacts
are
shown
in
children
through
aggression.
