“A Uniform Policy”
By: Rene Sanchez I am very highly in favor of our children to wear uniform in their school. Wearing uniform to school would help our children more responsible on taking priority of what they need to wear, when they go to school. When I started attending school from Kinder garden to Elementary School in the Philippines, we always have to wear a uniform. I love wearing uniform, it really makes me feel am really in school, if my uniform is not complete for me to wear for school, I would just stay home, because there’s time our school is very strict when it comes to wearing a proper uniform. I always make sure before I go to bed my uniform is always ready, nice and properly iron. When I start school here to U.S. I was looking forward of wearing uniform, I was very disappointed when I found out that we have to wear a regular clothes every day to go to school. If everyone can take the uniform policy like we do it in our country, students would look more decent and well behave. My son start school here in Solano County, he has to wear a uniform, and I really enjoy shopping for him.

And like most of the popular debate in the world it has no concrete answer, it totally depends on a person’s beliefs actually. For some it is a benefit for others a disadvantage. Thirdly it is a far less expensive to buy school uniforms than many other clothes.…

When was the last time you saw a child in their school uniform? Probably quite recently. But have you ever thought how these children feel ? their entire school is wearing the same thing they are wearing? These children wear the same thing every single day they go to school. The only time they get to wear their own style of clothes is on the weekend. Making children wear the same thing everyday, thinking it's a good idea that helps them in school, probably only makes them hate school more. There are many reasons why school uniforms are a bad idea and should not be enforced on children. To start with, to buy them costs a lot of money. The rate of schools and getting school uniforms is going up and crimes in the buildings are going down. Bullying and crimes aren’t happening within the school. According to Should Students have to Wear School Uniforms ,“When you have students dressed alike, you make them safer. If someone were to come into a building, the intruder could easily be recognized.” This statement shows that crime in school that make students wear uniforms has decreased. I think that school uniforms is an important attire to have in school to help stop crimes, to stop bullying, and time in the morning for kids. "Just slapping clothes on kids won't improve a school, but uniforms accompanied by other reforms can make a difference. Uniforms send a message and remind students that they are in school. One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." ~Joe Palumbo. Uniforms cause children to be more civilized and mature in what they are doing. It could lead the kids to a greater future and teach them to be more proper. Students shouldn’t have to wear school uniforms in school. Wearing school uniforms goes against the First Amendment of the Constitution. Everyone has the right of the freedom of speech. If you make us wear uniforms then it will take away that freedom. Wearing your choice of clothes is part of expressing yourself and that is a part of your freedom of speech. (Akhavan). This implies that everyone can speak their own my mind and people express that through their clothes. This is important because if you want to live in the United States then we have freedom and we should all get that freedom. Even though the argument on whether or not school uniforms takes away the student's right to self-expression will never end. Having school uniforms for the students to wear will eliminate bullies who pick on other students based on their clothing. Uniforms will eliminate the separation of social classes when that is mainly determined by what clothing a person wears. Last but not least, schools that require the students to wear school uniforms makes a formal look on the school. Uniforms may seem boring, but if they are able to help improve learning for students, they are a very reasonable…
