Total Quality Management In Healthcare
Total Quality Management provides a design for implementing quality and productivity initiatives that can increase profitability and competitiveness of organizations. It is a philosophy adopted by an organization that focuses on teamwork, process improvement, and engagement of all personnel in order to be successful.
I work in the healthcare industry where TQM is used in my organization. As a hospital we have to provide excellent customer service in order to compete with other healthcare systems. Quality is measured in health outcomes and patient satisfaction within the healthcare industry. In order to gain a competitive edge, we have to strive to focus on customer satisfaction. This is driven by teamwork and continuous quality assurance
