Tonight I Can Write The Saddest Lines By Pablo Neruda Analysis
I can not say I have not lost anyone, be it physically or emotionally. I wanted to write about how I felt knowing that paper would not have the ability to judge me. However my lack of will to do so stood in the way and I was not able to provide an output. “Tonight I can Write the Saddest Lines” is a poem written by Pablo Neruda and, unlike me, he was able to express himself. I can not say he has gone through whatever he has written but through his heartfelt piece, I have felt the emotions one feels if ever they do go through a heartbreak. With the evidences written by different authors, I believe that the said poem is a piece of literature. First, literature, as given in the handout, has emotional value. The poem made me, as a reader, feel his pain as though it was my own. His emotions as he reminisces his past lover was very clear and that made the readers sympathize. “My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her”, a line in the poem that shows how hard it is for him to fill an empty void. It teaches its readers, at the same time, makes them enjoy the piece. The poem has an ethical value. I can say I enjoy writing materials if they have brought me emotional pain or happiness. As given previously, I have felt emotions. I have also learned something, that is to accept the fact that you will lose people, important or not. “To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her”, it makes you think about the people around you who might not stick with you to the end. Despite this depressing fact, I have also learned that, although it may be difficult, people would be able to leave the past behind. Neruda wrote, “These the last verses that I write for her”, signifying that he will try to not let it haunt him
