Individuals are always taught that the golden rule is to treat others how we would like to be treated. But everyday people in society treat others differently or making judgments for how they look or what they believe in. Sometimes people don't realize they are treating these certain people that way or making those judgements . People in America are known to treat people very differently depending on the color of their skin or their certain beliefs. Human beings are supposed to be kind and treat others with respect. The problem about humans, is the way we act toward each other based on their skin color. Racism is a major obstacle in multiple countries. Humans have a history of discriminating people on the simple things such as religion, language, and nationality. For example, when Rosa Park was victimized when she refuses to move to the back of the bus, she went to jail for standing up for herself and her race. At her time, white people were really racist and treated African American with disrespect. If she didn’t stand up for herself, we wouldn’t have a law of treating others with equality. She made a change and we should make a change as well. Therefore, tolerance, human qualities, and respect are the reason why people should accept others who are different from themselves.…

Have you ever heard of a saying, don’t judge a book by its cover? The story “The Most Dangerous Game” was about a man named Rainsford. He misjudged a man named General Zaroff who seemed kind in the beginning yet turned out to be evil. This phrase means don’t assume a person is one way unless you truly know them deep down in your heart. For example, Zaroff was flattering Rainsford with his looks, manners and the way he treated people. Also, don’t judge someone because you don’t what they have been through or what they may be experiencing.…

Born in a middle-class Christian family from South India, the strict traditional values helped to embed the concept of service through family and friends who taught me trust, respect, integrity, and responsibility for my education and beliefs. One of my major spiritual values that kindled the concept of service within me is “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” which is found in the Bible. At an early age I started to practice this concept by not only self-respect for myself but mainly treating others with respect. Individuals may build their moral values from listening to their parents, grandparents, religious beliefs, friends, books, their local societal values and even watching television. Moral values and…

The world has dramatically revolutionized over the past centuries. Nowadays, people have different beliefs and traditions. As a result, the world is now full of human diversity in contrast to how it was before. Back in the 18th century, countries and continents were fully segregated. It was unusual to see a person with different nationality or cultural traits in a different country in comparison to the 21st century. Thus, in today’s society we have people of different races, countries, and religions. It’s a social change that has occurred worldwide due the increase of human migration into different countries. This social change, however, has caused a negative impact on the community itself; hence, being different has become a target for criticism. Seeing such diversity in our society makes it easy for one to judge others based on their religion, their nationality, and the color of their skin; however, people should not be judged by their physical appearance, their personal…
