To Kill A Mockingbird: Atticus Finch
Atticus Finch is a single father of two children, Scout and Jem. Although he is openly criticized because he defended a black man in court, he is still greatly respected. Here are the reasons why.

Atticus Finch is very smart, and brave. When Tom Robinson was moved to the Maycomb jail, Atticus knew people would try to kill Tom. Thus being said Atticus went to the jail and waited. When a group of men arrived Atticus stood his ground, and without raising a finger, he made the men leave. This shows how much respect the people of Maycomb have for him.

Atticus has a great set of rules to live by. He thinks that all men should be treated equal, and that you should never judge people because you have to walk in their shoes first. For example,
