Study tour

Study tour means go anywhere to collect some educational information with some enjoyment. It helps to increase the practical experiences among the students. It is very important for all the students because by going there they may achieve a lot of unexpected things which can play an important role in their both student life and practical life.

We are the students of Southeast University in BBA Department. We are really very lucky that we have got am excellent teacher like Shahrear Talukder. He is the person who visited us the study tour. Before that we had no idea about study tour. But now we have a well knowledge about study tourand its advantages.. it is really such a kind of useful and interesting thing that every students should have the taste of it once or more.

After being inspired from Shahrear sir (our course instructor of CELP-2), we made up a plan to go for CELP study tour. But it was not possible to go without the help of our instructor. Because he played a vital role to took permission from the higher authority for our study tour. He also gave us the concept about how to arrange a study tour and co-operate us in many ways.

Finally we select a date and place with the help of our course teacher and intended to go Jatio Smriti Soudho and Jahangirnagar University for our CELP study tour. Per head budget was 450 tk for the tour, and we collect the money from all the students and arranged everything properly like transport, menu of breakfast and lunch. We complete our arrangement just before the fixed date.

At the date of going everyone came at duty in the university as they asked, and with the command of our teacher. We started our journey at 9 am. We took our breakfast in the bus and enjoyed singing song and funny jokes. After having a nice journey of near about one and a half hour we reached at “Jatio Smrity Soudho”. But unfortunately it was closed. Then our teacher offered us to go Nandan Park and at last we went there.

In the Nandan Park there were a lot of rides for both children and young. Some of them we took part. We enjoyed the artificial beauties of the park. We took some photos of each other with our teacher. We also enjoyed dancing in the ‘Iceland”. After passing more than one hour we went out from the Nandan Park.

At 2 pm we started our journey towards Jahangirnagar University. In the bus finished our delicious lunch before half an hour when reached at the university. When we were entering in the university campus our joys knew no bounds especially for me because that was my first entrance in Jahangirnagar University in my life. The calm and quiet environment of Jahangirnagar University enthralled us at once. The natural beauty of the university was outstanding which was reminding us that really our country is ever green and full of natural beauty. There were some sculpture in the university which also reminding us the events of our Independence War. We visited some parts of the university and achieved a lot of knowledge and practical experiences about the public university. One of the part of the university where we stood together for a while, which was conspicuous and it was the lane of university. It attracts the foreign birds at the time of winter. Honestly speaking, the things which we enjoyed and achieved from the Jahangirnagar University will never be forgotten.

At last but not the least, our CELP study tour can have a major impact on our life positively. The all over knowledge and experiences that we gathered through our study tour is very potential for a student’s life to increase his or her amount of knowledge and collection of information.

The article titled “Working at McDonald’s” by Amitai Etzioni is in short describing how there is no individuality in working at a fast food restaurant. Kids have no initiative and cannot make many individual decisions for themselves. There is no real career training when it comes to working in a fast food restaurant. In saying this, Etzioni is correct. After all he the winner of the 2001 John P. McGovern award in Behavioral Sciences. He states that McDonald’s is bad for kids, not because of the food itself (which is still unhealthy) but because of the fact that they are working for them. When I read the short story the prince about S. Leon Kleinman who every two months would call in sick at his job and go to museums and just have a his own little day off. I thought what the heck is this guy doing and how is he getting away with this but threw out the whole of this short story I thought he was very crafty and had a good thing going. Mr. Kleinman worked at an office type job and dreaded working there and thought that all the people were stupid and he hated them so he did it to have his little private time but this little scheme finally game to an end when his boss Mr. Graham found out that he was skipping and called him to his office to see what was the deal and so kleinman came in and they started talking and his boss was asking him questions and kleinman was admiring his painting and Mr. graham saw this and he saw that he had a creative side when he was making statements like to own a prince painting one must be a prince and then the boss Mr. graham offered him a promotion for having such an understanding and love for art. The ending of the story I have to admit I was not expecting that he would get a promotion out of all the things I thought he would maybe get fired and it was kind of ironic because he skipped work and it got him promoted and it spoke on the kind of person he was and all this proved that you can beat the system if you plan it right just like how you saw in this short story and he did all this to do what he loved which was art which…

Schools organize learning journeys for students which foster important learning experience that will link the theoretical with the experiential. This provides students with more insights of the outside world rather than just being cooped in classrooms studying textbooks and notes. For instance, students have the opportunities to go overseas for exchange programmes to experience the education system in the schools of other countries. Some trips are specially catered for students to learn more about a certain subject. For example, schools bring their students to Germany to learn more about geography. Worksheets are also specially designed to supplement the syllabus. At the end of the trip, students would benefit as it helps to better appreciate what they have learnt in the textbooks. At almost 6 AM that time, we departed from Cavite to start our most awaited trip at the following itineraries: Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Traveller’s Hotel, Subic Bay Airport, Rajah Soliman Hotel at Baguio, Ibay’s Silver Shop, The Mansion, The Wright Park, Mine’s View Park, Strawberry Farm, Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, and the last is Burnham Park . The Educational tour started out as an escape from school for most of us students, bonding with friends, chance to unwind and of course, to learn new things and to gain knowledge at the same time that we may apply someday.…
