Internal – internal communications is communication inside the business and it is a way to inform the shareholders or staff of their jobs to do. All internal communications should be done quickly to inform the staff so they can carry on.
Verbal – verbal is mostly speaking and talking to people face to face, this may also be talking on the phone for work to be done outside the business.
Written – this is a way of communicating on paper for example, if you had to inform an employee about a wage increase it would be done by post.
Web based – all companies and business like Thorpe park have a website were they can be contacted by customers or employees with. It is also a place were they put information so customers don’t have to ask questions but incase their question hasn’t been answered they would most likely have a customer service.
Multi media and on screen – this can be through social media websites like twitter or face book.
Updating knowledge - Emails and letters can be sent to either employees or customers to inform them about future plans for the park or discounts, this is also a good way to encourage more people to come to the park as you are informing them. This would be up to the finance department to do; this would also be a internal way of communicating.
Informing future developments – when you’re informing staff about a new development in the park you should have a meeting, it is the most formal way to inform your staff about developments on the park. It also informs the marketing department so they can start advertising and informing people.
Offering competitive insight – the marketing department will create reports and comparisons to show where you are and what your competitors are doing, this will help the employees work together as a team.
