Abraham Lincoln served as President of The United States from 1860 until his death in 1865. The biggest decision he made in his life, and perhaps one of the biggest decisions ever made, was that to end slavery in The United States. However, this decision did not come without effect as it caused the Civil War between the North and the South. The civil war cost both resources and life, but in the end Lincoln was able to abolish slavery with the Emancipation proclamation.

He seemed to be a part of every important event during his lifetime. Jefferson served the New American Union for over 50 years. He served in the continental congress in 1775 and in 1776 wrote the Declaration of Independence. He was the governor of Virginia from 1779-1781 and the U.S vice president from 1797-1801. From 1801-1809 he served as the third president. Jefferson was one of the key philosophical thinkers that helped lay the foundation of America and turned it into what it is today. Jefferson created the American library system as he had a love for knowledge. Jefferson clearly explained that in order to maintain religous freedom there must be a seperation from the church and the state. Jefferson was a genius and has influenced the world in uncountable ways.
All three of these men influenced the world in ways that can't be measured, who knows what it would be like without them? They all demonstrated outstanding character. In my opinion I belive that Abraham Lincoln was the strongest president. He was able to end slavery and bring this nation back together after a civil war. He changed the culture and way of thinking in this country
