Smoking Kills Lately a problem has occurred with smoking. The number of people who smoke has dramatically risen over the past few years. This is a huge problem because smoking causes big health risks that leads to sickness or worst, death, smokers can also harm the people around them and the environment that is surrounding them. Some people may fight their inner self trying to quit this horrible habit, but obviously they would always fail because after that one try of cigarette it will take whole control of their poor lives and kill them slowly everyday without them realizing it. The sad thing here is that there is a lot of people and specially in media who are supporting smoking and such stuff as drugs and alcohol. One big reason that leads people to smoking is so they can pump up their self esteem and self confidence. Yet another reason why people smoke is to avoid weight gain.
One of my solutions to stop smoking is by educating the people. There could be institutes that would have classes that tell the hazards of smoking. In the classes they could show them how bad smoking is and hopefully try convincing’s them to quit. My other solution is by stopping the media from supporting smoking, first we could stop magazine ads, I think stopping magazine ads is great idea because people always read magazines and see the pictures in them and to be quiet honest the pictures are always attractive, and those are just two simple solutions to help you quit smoking and as they say “Be A Fighter; Put Down The Lighter”.

Do you smoke? Have you ever think about how smoking Tobacco is harmful and dangerous for health and can cause a slow death. I am a non-smoker and I think that there are three main reasons why a smoker should quit smoking. Firstly, smoking will affect the smoker body and life. It will cause a lot of serious deceases like lung cancer, emphysema, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, reduces the flow of oxygen to the brain and even can lead to birth effects. According to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States, killing upwards of 150,000 people each year. For smokers, the risk of stroke is nearly 2-1/2 times that of non-smokers. Secondly, smoking affects not only the person who inhale it directly, but also the people around that person. Those people are forced automatically to perform a passive smoking which is more dangerous when compared to direct smoking. That’s why the non-smoker hates the smell of tobacco and do not want to sit next by the smoker. Even more, smoking gives the smoker a bad breath and repulsive smell. Finally, smoking is a very expensive habit, and the price of cigarettes continues to rise in order to reduce the percentage of smokers. The addicts have to spend a lot of money on cigarettes in which he can use this money in something better for his life. A smoker should really think seriously about giving up this bad habit by going to a treatment center or by taking a serious action in quitting. (271 word)…
