Traditional psychology appeared to explain the development of mental disorders and provided a framework for the treatment of these disorders or emotional difficulties. This started in the earlier 1900’s with Sigmund Freud, but holes began to appear in this first global theory. The theory explained behavior in terms of conditioning and reinforcement. Psychoanalytic theory used to explain emotional problems and psychoanalysis was the treatment preferred, which often failed. There were so many experiences influencing their observations that we had a variety of different paradigms.…

The type of Positive News Message this article is using is the goodwill Message. I know that this is the type of message that is being used, because a direct Claim message is when you write a straightforward claim to identify or correct an error to a business. An adjustment message is when you receive a claim and you decide to respond in a positive manner. Omitting these two types of messages leaves us with the goodwill message. The article is an article that is presenting good news and, showing empathy, which are some of the characteristics of a goodwill message. The seminar which was held last September 2013, at the FRC Mall 2nd flr. Imus, Cavite was entitled “The Psychology of Positivity towards Emotional Wellness”. Our guest speaker was Mr.Richard Monteverde who is a very good speaker, taught us on how to examine the different factors of personality adjustments and maladjustments in achieving emotional wellness. The term “personality adjustments” for me, is a term used to describe a personal adequacy, self-fulfillment and psychological maturity. I learned many things about the 4A’s personality adjustment (awareness, alternative, access and acceptance) and especially, I was more conscious now of why people have higher standards, why they become annoyed so easily, why we always think that our ideas were right, why we blame others for our happiness, why do we have so much to do but doesn’t have enough energy & time and why do we avoid such difficult ones. There was also the causes of maladjustments because there are situations in our life that requires more than what we could have done, the events happens to us and our attitude toward these events results to maladjustments and the insufficient social and moral support of the people around us in accomplishing these stressful life events. The positivity of psychology also entails feeding the mind and heart, support system, self-relaxation, maximizing choice, positive self-talk, humor and exercise.…

Organizational change management is the interrelationship between organizational change and human change while staying in the constraints of budget and time. Kubr (1996) states, “organizational changes can involve; products and service, technologies, systems, relationships, organizational culture, management techniques and style, strategies pursued, competences and capabilities, performances and other features of a business. These changes further affect features in an organization which may require further changes in structure, legal framework, ownership, sources of finance, networks and impacts. In addition, Kubr argues the behavior of organizational workers at all levels determines what organizational changes can be made and what real benefits will be drawn from them. People must therefore understand change and be willing and able to embrace it. This can only be done if they are willing to learn new knowledge, absorb more information, upgrade their skills, and modify their work habits, values, and attitudes. No real lasting change can occur without a change in attitude and behavior.” Therefore, for the purposes of this paper I will attempt to discuss the three planned change model concepts and the difference between them.…
