Things Are Rough All Over Analysis
Between the real world and fictional, people have it rough. Weather it’s for characters of a book, or real life people. No matter if wealthy or dirt poor, different people struggle different things. Battling against society and yourself, trying to grasp on to the last part of you that is free and happy before being swallowed by conflict. In the Outsiders the quote “Things are rough all over” is used and can relate to almost everything in the book. Johnny Cade especially knows what it feels like to have it rough. One character comes to my mind whenever I think of the word rough. Jaycee is a teenager in the book Dead Girls Don’t Lie whose best friend was murdered. While trying to figure out happen to her closest friend, she was threatened and also tried to bully her out of snooping around her friends sickening death. In addition to that, her so called “friends” that she still has she can’t trust. She doesn’t know if they are trying to help her or trick her into giving up. Having to look over her shoulders whenever they were near. Having no one to trust and console to during this hard time. These are just fictional stories though. This in the real world are tough and harsh too. People have fallen on hard times. They struggle to make meats end with so many money problems. People work day and night to provide food and shelter of their family. Getting swept under like a wave in the ocean. As people are trying to stay afloat they might lose their jobs. Unemployed and broke are thing that are happening everywhere. It’s almost imposable to stop it. Losing the only job they had and can’t get another one, this is happening everywhere; this is rough all over. In conclusion, I can prove and point out everywhere that “Things are rough all over”.
