There is no reason to feel bored in AUTUMN
2. Would you agree that there is no reason to feel bored in autumn?

In my opinion autumn is a wonderful time of the year with its own peculiar interest and beauty. I know that the majority of people will disagree with me. They will probably say that autumn is the most boring time of the year. The summer holidays are over and everybody is back from the seaside. Everybody is in for nasty weather with its occasional rains and sleet.

Of course it is true and the weather leaves much to be desired. I can't argue with the fact that the days are gray, damp and gloomy: and to get caught in the rain in autumn is not the same as to do it in summer. But, actually, I don't think that it's a drawback, as we finally have an opportunity to stay at home with an interesting book and a cup of hot cocoa and just look out of the window watching the rain coming down in buckets. I can't agree at all with people who call it boring to death. There are lots things one can spend time doing them when the weather is awful. For example new seasons of a lot of series are going to be shown right at the beginning of autumn. And nothing feels as cozy as sitting in front of a screen watching some film or reading a book wrapped in a blanket and listening to the sound of rain and watching raindrops running down the window pane.

A lot of people don't like autumn and find it boring as they can't meet with their friends due to bad weather. And it is also a thing I can't agree with. There is no problem in meeting somewhere inside, the choice of places is just huge: from a simple cafe to a picture gallery. We also should not forget about such thing as Indian summer – a really magic period of time. Sometimes the weather then is better than the weather in summer. The heat never gets too oppressive as it sometimes does in summer, the sun is not blazing. The weather is mild and balmy.

It is important to add that autumn makes us closer with our relatives. We spend more times at home, so we have family suppers while which the most intimate talks happen.

In conclusion I'd like to say that, of course, tastes differ, but every cloud has a silver lining. Although autumn reminds us that summer is over and a new academic year begins, we should notice the opportunities this time of the year gives us. And besides, nobody will make you feel excited, happy and not bored until you try to find to find some interesting pastimes by yourself.

I love fall. I can imagine the sounds of leaves crunching underneath my boots, the smells of food being taken out on Thanksgiving, the tastes of a nice cup of apple cider, the sights of spooky decorations and bright pumpkins on houses, and the feeling of crisp autumn air blowing across my face. I love to watch the leaves turn red, orange, and yellow and flutter down to the fresh green grass, like warm colors of paint covering a bright green canvas. I always look forward to fall weather, and I also always look forward to the beautiful fall scenery. Because of the nice fall weather, I get to take more walks in my neighborhood and I also get to say hi to my neighbors. Even if my birthday is in the spring, I still love fall the most. Thinking…

This quote represents Miss Brill’s old age. Using the autumn season means that Miss Brill is long past her prime and is about to enter the final stage of her life – winter. Also, the “yellow leaves” described in the story are colourless and decayed, just like Miss Brill. At the end of the story, the boy and the girl basically say that Miss Brill is decayed and obsolete by calling her a “stupid old thing” who wears a very weird fur around herself.…

For about as long as anyone’s been writing anything, the seasons have stood for the same set of meanings. Maybe it's hard-wired into us that spring has to do with childhood and youth, summer with adulthood and romance and fulfillment and passion, autumn with decline and middle age and tiredness but also harvest, winter with old age and resentment and death. Temperatures in spring and fall lie between the extremes of winter and summer, but can fluctuate significantly within a short time span as warm and cold air masses battle for control. This clash of differing air masses causes severe weather, particularly in spring, which is peak tornado season in the state. Spring is also the wettest time of the year and can bring floods, whereas autumn tends to be much drier, often the sunniest and least humid…

However, there’s something about me that you need to know: I love fall. Okay, I love spring, too. I love every season. Each has something to offer that I just can't live without, but I especially love Fall! It's the leaves. These seasons can also cause for some great times because in the summer time you can get out and enjoy the sun on your skin, and your feet in the sand. So you would have to deal with traffic jams. The winter time you can also be able to enjoy it sometimes if it snows and it’s enough you can go out and build yourself a snowman, or inside watching movies and enjoying some hot cocoa. The summer gets too hot here, (although it gets hotter in other areas), allergies rise; work gets tiring, and business gets slow. The good thing about summer is that school is out, vacation time is at hand and there is a lot of relaxing time. The winter on the other hand is too cold, (although it doesn't snow here) people are more susceptible to diseases, outside dogs freeze, it gets too cold to do work, and there are runny noses in every room, but at least all the good holidays are in winter, and the best part of winter is you can cuddle up with your loved ones. That is why there is the autumn and spring; the climate then fluctuates up and down plants are in bloom in the spring and they become harvested in the autumn; one can also decide whether or not to wear a jacket /sweater.…

In the autumn, some call it fall, it begins to cool off. The leaves on the trees begin to change color from green to the colors of fall (red, orange, yellow, and brown). Other plants may become inactive and “go to sleep”. Some animals prepare themselves for the colder weather by gathering food and traveling to warmer climates. This is a time of harvest and many cultures celebrate with feasts and celebration.…
