Sam, a 48 year, old Middle Eastern-American man is seeking intermittent therapy for depression and hypochondriacally chest pain. He is professionally competent as a research technician working in a computer company. His taking of psychotropic drugs has not produced the desired result in the past. Despite being on continuous antidepressant medication, he states the feeling of dizziness most of the time, a dork cloud hanging over him and the conviction of death by heart attack. His father had previously died of heart of attack at the age of 50 years old. This will enable healthcare provider to know appropriate medication for his treatment. It can be in the form of a basal body thermometer attached to middle finger ensuring the sensitivity of the thermometer against the skin of finger. His preoccupation with past omen of death, guilt, shame or regret eliminated by successful application of mindfulness. His physiological health can also improve from the practice of mindfulness through relaxation and have the experience of a positive mind. He can also use mindfulness breathing to focus on breathing. This may enable him to quiet his mind and attention attracted to the here-and now 9Greenberg, 2013). The sound from music can produce a relaxing effect on the physiological and psychological state of Sam. In fact, listening to the sound from music is soothing and can have profound effect on the health of Sam as a means of relaxation.
