Theme Of The Elevator By William Sleater
Personally, I have had issues in an elevator before. Whenever I had my heart surgery, I rode on the glass elevator. I was afraid of falling out on the ground because I wasn't sure it was glass. Martin was afraid to ride on the elevator in the fictional short story called The Elevator by William Sleater. The theme of the story is “it is better to face your fear.” I think it is good to face your fears so you don't have to be afraid anymore. The setting of the story is the apartment on the 17th, in an old, run-down store with an elevator that is small, damp, and dirty. It had dark walls with only one dim light.
