Theme Of If Today Was Your Last Day
Though beauty is subjective to every individual’s opinions, common themes can be found across different works of art. Songs such as “If Today Was Your Last Day” and poems similar to “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” present the idea of the future. While the future is uncertain the emotions portrayed in these works make the concept seem less frightening. “If Today Was Your Last Day” is a song clearly about living life in the moment, because of the uncertainty in life. With lines such as “leave no stone unturned”, “leave your fears behind”, and “every second counts”, this song encourages thought in simple, everyday actions.
