Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, and Scrubs are all similar television shows. There are very little differences in all three shows. Almost all seasons of each show are on Netflix. The shows are all being played in the medical fields, and mostly in a hospital. Lost the Tv Show

The TV show Lost is a story about a group of people who survive a plane crash and end up on a mysterious island. Beyond the premise of the show there are deeper themes that run through out the show. While the first season may have been primarily about the survivors realizing that help isn’t exactly on the way and that they must band together to survive. From the very beginning we begin to see conflicts arise when matters of trust are involved. As the survivors begin to know one another better the skeletons in the closet for everyone are eventually revealed. Examples include when Jack Sheppard, the de facto leader of the group of survivors, found a mug shot of one of the other passengers who was being escorted by a US marshal. Kate was wanted for the murder of her father. Sayid Jarrah, another survivor, was previously a torturer for the Iraqi Republican Guard. James “Sawyer Ford” was a conman who conned couples out of their money; he also left behind a daughter whom he refused to accept in to his life. Needless to say this caused a major point of contention in the aftermath of the crash as many erroneously thought he had something to do with it. Not all of the passengers’ past is as dark though. John Locke was paralyzed from the waist down before the crash on the island. Mr. Eko was a reformed Nigerian gangster turned priest after an accident killed his brother. One thing all these characters have in common is their general path once they get on the island and how these characters’ development portrays the larger theme of redemption.…

Science plays a major role in the story line of NBC’s police-procedural drama, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; more specifically, forensic science. From beginning to end, the characters depend on the use and their understanding of forensic science to uncover the mysteries of each examined case. The advancements in technology along with the psychological approach used by detectives to solve each case make the serious and critical role that science plays more than evident to the audience.…

Television network ABC Family’s breakout comedy series, Modern Family, is a show full of life lessons and hidden meanings. Most television shows nowadays are all about sex, alcohol, and the dramas that occur because of them. Modern Family is not an exception, however it focuses more on the family aspect of life’s many dramas. On the surface, it is similar to the sex and drugs filled television shows that consume the media these days, but underneath that surface each episode has a moral to be learned, and the show overall represents many different assumptions America makes on what a “typical” family is.…

When times get tough and the only way to survive is to keep fighting, there are two choices: either you sink or you swim. At least that’s the mentality that belongs to the young, soon-to-be medical doctors in the 2005 TV series Grey’s Anatomy. Already having 8 seasons of surgical miracles, everlasting camaraderies, problematic love triangles, and life-threatening decisions, Grey’s Anatomy portrays a “dramedy” which focuses on a highly intellectual group of interns, residents, and attendings that strive to one-up each other in order to rank as the best, save the lives of patients, and keep the reputation of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Nonetheless, many of the characters constantly struggle to keep up with these responsibilities because of the difficulties in keeping their personal and professional lives apart.…

The social science experiment I conducted involved me violating a social norm and observing the reactions I would get for doing something considered “not normal” by societal standards. I monitored the reactions of five different groups throughout the experiment to get the best results. I rode the elevator five times but instead of standing the “normal” way which is facing the door an unspoken social norm I stood the wrong way. I stood backwards facing the back instead of the door. I got various reactions ranging from laughing to even being asked if I was ok this contradicted my hypothesis and proved it wrong which was even if I stand the wrong way in the elevator and go against the social norm then people still won’t really react.…

Default individualization is a path which someone can follow by accepting personally bounding identities which are socially accepted. Basically each person accepting the same identity of that of the person right next to them. By not being their own individual, these identities may possibly delay growth into adulthood. Things in life happen by default for these people, whatever happens just happens, and it is not planned out or thought of to any extent. This individualization does not stimulate growth as a person, because one can just look onto others (whose are actions, choices, and behaviors are socially accepted) to choose their life choices. Or someone can choose a path of developmental individualization. They can easily have their own personal identity apart and different from any others. People can actively have a well thought out plan to change your life for the better and to maintain this plan for life improvement in the adult world…
