Although she was born into poverty, she has spent her life giving back to America in numerous ways including the use of her money and her talents. Oprah has used a form of therapy known as “Oprahfication” to influence people to publicly confess their issues by confessing her own private details about her life. The power of Oprah’s opinion and authorization to influence public opinion has become known as “The Oprah Effect.” Oprah has become known for her generous reputation by constantly giving to others and to many different charities and causes. Throughout her life, Oprah has been able to strongly influence people all over the United States. “Oprahfication” means public confession as a form of therapy. Oprah confessed confidential details about her weight problems, love life, and sexual abuse which allowed people to feel as if they could open up to her. She has affected many lives through this form of therapy. After they shared their stories, Oprah was able to help them overcome their issues, and she always had a way of making them feel like they were not alone. Many people had been through the same situations. Oprah causes people to care because she cares so much. Her opinion on peoples’ stories seems to be thought very highly of, as does her opinion on many other matters.
