The holocaust took place preceding WWII and continued till the end of the war. The idea of killing Jewish people came from Hitler. Hitler was a German absolutist whose main goal was only Aryans “the perfect race”, live in Europe. As Hitler spent 15 months in prison, he wrote “Mein Kampf” a book containing all his ideals, morals, and goals. One of his goals was to rid Germany and eventually all of Europe of Jewish people. After attaining power, Germany was stagnant economically where inflation was so high, and currency was literally worthless, people burnt bills as a heat source. As a scapegoat, Hitler blamed Jews for the poor economy. This was the start of dehumanization and ghettoization of Jewish people in Germany and Europe in all.…

You could be a child, woman, or a man and they would still persecute or kill you. This lasted for many years, then Hitler said his last words which ended the Holocaust. This was found from the website www.history.com. “In his last will and political testament, dictated in a German bunker that April 29, Hitler blamed the war on ‘International Jewry and its helpers’ and urged the German leaders and people to follow ‘the strict observance of the racial laws and with merciless resistance against the universal poisoners of all peoples’–the Jews. The following day, he committed suicide. Germany’s formal surrender in World War II came barely a week later, on May 8, 1945.” There was one man who saved many Jewish lives. Anti-Semitism was felt in many other extreme forms in the Middle Ages. From the ecclesiastical and secular aspects of society Jews suffered violence and general mistreatment. Intense Jewish suffering began in France and Rhineland, where entire communities were killed, and synagogues were burned while Jews were inside singing songs. Jews suspected of crimes for which they were usually innocent resorted to suicide, instead of being found guilty and killed. Life was so horrible, married couples killed each other, and mothers killed their children. Jews felt the pressure of anti-Semitism and its toll was abundant. There was a magnitude of conscious suffering by Jewish martyrs that is only comparable to the suffering experienced during Nazi Germany.…

Phil does not share his experiences or thoughts of the Holocaust, instead he used one word to bring to life the dreadful annihilation of a specific group of people.
