I used to be insecure of other’s looks. Since Puberty strikes me, I become more curious of what I look like. Am I pretty? Am I fit? Am I flawless? Hmm.. My teeth are so doomed. The lower teeth are farther to the tongue than my front teeth, causing my friends to tease and call me a “babalu”. I felt jealous about some pretty girls who have perfect teeth. Other one is my hair. My hair is also doomed. It’s freakin’ kinky. Not curly, but kinky. I need to get my hair rebond once a year just to look nice. I hated it when other girls have nice hair even without effort. Last thing I was insecure of is the pimple free-face of others. I am the only pimple prone girl at home. And it seems like everyone I see has skinny smooth face. Later on I realized that I should not care about the looks. Being pretty is not written in the bible. It wasn’t stated that “Pretty and Skinny People will be saved in the day of salvation” I should be satisfied of what I look like, Because not all people are blessed to have a leg, or a hand, teeth, or even a face.
