CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
This chapter presents the background of the study, statement of intent, the theoretical framework, the significance of the study, the scope and limitation, and the operational definitions of the various terms used.
Background of the Study
Alternative Learning System is a free education program implemented by the Department of Education under the Bureau of Alternative Learning System which benefits those who cannot afford formal schooling and follows whatever is their available schedule.
The program is a viable alternative to the existing formal education instruction,
