The Titanic Book Review Essay
The Titanic; a romantic, action-packed love story by James Cameron obtained every person's heart. A boy named Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and a girl named Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) at first didn’t like each other, they just saw each other as total strangers. As Jack and Rose advance into seeing each more there love for each grew into something that can’t be broken.

R.M.S Titanic took a blow by a giant iceberg that was later found to be the central idea of the Titanic becoming a sad and famous story. Rose and Jack go down with the ship and Jack help her onto a door that can hold the weight of Rose. While Jack is in the freezing water, they both exchange loving words, and with a Jack dies of hypothermia. Once aboard the the little boat called the Carpathia, Rose made up a name as Rose Dawson. She sees Cal one more time …show more content…
For Instance, Roses ex-fiance Caledon 'Cal' Hockley(Billy Zane) was devastated over losing Rose to a poor fellow like Jack and so tried to ruin their love for each other. Like almost by the ending of the book Caledon’s assistant or helper have planted a expensive necklace in Jack’s pocket and soon told to Rose. This forcing Rose to believe Caledon and not Jack. After this tragedy Jack was being sent to jail and Rose tricked into believing Caledon making Jack and Rose mad at each other for a while. Another reason why Jack and Rose can’t be together as they planned is because of the damage to the Titanic. The Titanic was sinking and the doomed lovers weren’t able to both float upon the wood because of this Jack thought of letting his True Love live and him to die of the ice cold water.

These reasons were two main conflicts in the story. Like I said Roses ex-fiance and the Titanic is sinking. These reasons are keeping Jack and Rose apart and kept them apart until they were in the freezing water saying their last

However, one question remains… Who or what is responsible for the sinking of the ‘unsinkable ship’? The Titanic set sail on April 10, 1912 carrying 2200 passengers and 1300 crew. She hit an iceberg on April 14, 1912 at 11:45 p.m. At first the captain thought that the ship had merely scraped the iceberg. The damage was much worse... The iceberg scraped the hull so bad the rivets used to hold the ship together popped out. The gash in the hull let water come into the ship at 10 tons per second! Of the 2200 passengers, she carried on board, only 700 survived. Some people say that Thomas Andrews (the head designer of the Titanic) was responsible for the tragedy due to faulty ship design. Others say that J. Bruce Ismay is responsible for encouraging faulty ship design. Ismay is to blame because he should have told Thomas Andrews to make the supposed ‘water tight’ bulkheads higher. Ismay also should have added more lifeboats to save everyone on board in case of disaster.
