In both of these movies the general plot is the same, an innocent group of friends fall victim to a psychotic family of killers, however each movie has a very unique set of characters and side plots that help the directors strike a sense of fear and reality into their viewers. 1) Will hunting was an orphan. As a child he was moved from foster house to foster house and during this time he didn’t receive proper moral development. He was alone and probably acted out by breaking things, hurting other kids and talking back but this got him punished. In the movie he explains that he would get abused by his foster parents, he would get cigarette buds put out on his skin and probably got a lot of verbal abuse. This could’ve resulted in his relationship issues and his need to feel cared for. Sean outlined Wills problem by coming to the conclusion that the reason he hangs out with the friends he does is because they care for him and they have his back. As a child he felt like he didn’t have that therefore he’s filling the need now. He broke up with his girlfriend that loved him very much because of the traumatic events that have happened in his childhood. The movie Good Will Hunting exploits many points of psychology in the character Will Hunting, a janitor at MIT who has a knack for math. Some of the points of psychology include how a character develops after a lot of child abuse during his childhood. It exploits the idea that a child who becomes secluded may never allow an attachment, or when an attachment finally starts to occur, pushes them away. It also exploits the idea that Will Hunting has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Because of the post-traumatic stress disorder it seems that Will is unable to function normally in society, and because of this, carefully plans out his future as to not have to worry about encountering many people.…

    Texas Chainsaw 3d Review

Movie director John Luessenhop completely missed the memo when it came to the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Originally going into a scary movie you would expect loud screams, gory scenery, and an ‘at the edge of your seat’ feeling but this one is not like that. The new sequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre has nothing to offer in comparison to the original work done by Tobe Hooper. John Luessenhop’s adaptations failed from the original. The word ‘massacre’ was even removed from the title. Texas Chainsaw 3D starts off where the original movie ended. They begin by showing how much hatred the towns people had for the Sawyer family and their cannibalistic (leatherface) family member. Concluding their rage the towns’ people burned the Sawyer home with all of them in it. It was believed that the disasters had stopped and they were all heroes until the main character, Heather, came long. To her surprise and those of the towns’ people she was a long lost Sawyer. John Luessenhop thought he would remake this movie to be compared if not better than the original but the three dimensional effects, thrills, and suspense made this movie a waste of $15.00 for all of those who watched it in theaters.…
