Have you ever begged your parents got what you wanted. Doris has because with the dog her parents said no than yes. The story is about this girl named doris that found this dog that wants it badly but parents say no because of the cost and at the end and they said yes. Parents and kids have to make sacrifices for people sometimes.
Parents and kids that live in poverty have to stay strong and confident. Doris cried herself to sleep. As a result, Doris is upset about the dog for a little but most kids are upset when they can’t get what they want but than at the end they get it. The puppy had been abandoned and it made its way down the road toward the Laceys small house with its ears tucked. Mrs.Lacey did not want to take the dog cause he doesn’t have a good enough job. For this reason they didn’t get the dog for a while then they got it, some parents change their minds after a while. She knew her parents wouldn’t let her keep it, her father made so little money so any pets were out of the question and that the puppy would definitely go to the pound when the weather cleared. Therefore, they kept it for a little to see what to do with it, like most parents would do. The dad agreed to let it sleep in the basement while mrs.lacey grudgingly let doris feed it table scraps. Because of this her parents made changes but all parents make changes for the people they love.
