“O say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?” To people like Francis Scott Key, the writer of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, the American flag is a symbol of men and women standing up for what they believed in, and even giving up their life for it. These people care greatly about the American flag being honored and respected, and I am too. Our flag has three colors that have become very important to our country: red, white, and blue.
