The Secret: Will it change your life?
The Secret: Will it change your life? A guy is waiting for the light to turn green as he notices a Lamborghini pull up next to him, in his head he’s thinking wow this guys has a lot going for him. At the same time he notices on the other side of his car another guy pulls up driving a Kia. He laughs because based on his vehicle the overall assumption is that he’s struggling through life, just because he doesn’t have a nice car. In today’s society we base success on money and power, but the average person will never see that being successful is way more than just money and power. Being successful starts with a dream or a goal in someone’s life. Not everyone will have the same dream, so everyone’s view of success will be different. Being successful is being able to do what you love in life; this is the secret of being successful. This secret is based on a 3-part process of Ask, Believe and Receive. At the end of this process there will be love, where there's love there be success. Being successful starts with thinking of what it means to be successful in their life. Either it’s to have a great job or a 4.0 GPA in college, to achieve this it must start with a dream. Within this dream they need to ask for what they want to accomplish in their life. By doing this it starts an overall plan of action in their life. For example, if a person wants to become a doctor; they must ask themselves how does someone become a doctor? At this point they start to formulate a plan on the steps of becoming a doctor. This process of asking themselves what they want in life starts a plan that will generate into real life which will lead to success in their eyes. As their goal begins to manifest into their lives they tend to have more focus and a better understanding of the bigger picture they want to accomplish. As this dream begins to manifest in their lives, they must now start the next process of believing. This is the most important part to anyone seeking success.

I think John Wooden explains the definition of success very precisely. He tells us that hard work and having enthusiasm are the most important things in pursuing our goals. We will be successful when we make sure that we have done our best to reach our goals. Another important element is that we shouldn’t give up in our life. We shouldn’t be afraid of trying. If we fail we shouldn’t be discourage, but we have to learn from our mistakes and correct them and hold it as an experience. However, success is about working hard toward something and achieving a goal. Each and every person should set small goals for themselves on a regular basis. Setting small goals will then lead to setting even bigger goals since you know you can accomplish small ones. When those goals are met, in addition to being feeling elated, you will also feel better about yourself knowing you were successful in accomplishing a goal that you had previously set. Everybody’s definition of success is different, however, success can only be attained if you work hard toward it because nothing will ever come easy in…

I have been taking the educational path and attending college to achieve my goal. My overall goal in being a Police Officer will have to take several paths before reaching my final destination.…
