Are psychopaths really “morally insane”? Although most people would say yes, that would be a misconception. A psychopath is someone who may seem completely nonhuman. There are many different characteristics of a psychopath, including lack of remorse and antisocial behaviors, just to name a few. The true definition of psychopathy is still not set in stone because there are so many different opinions of what the true meaning is. Today, there are tons of versions of psychopaths out there. From murderers to just plain creepy people, the media shows the public a select few point blank types of psychopaths. In most of the media, producers are able to sneak in different types of psychopathic people without letting the public know it, even if they are right under their noses. Many movies that are out there today, including The Hunger Games, have their own unique ways of representing psychopathy; for the most part, it can be very hard for someone to actually realize that these psychopaths are actually right in front of their faces.
The Hunger Games is a movie about 24 kids, between the ages of 12-18 years old, who are chosen in a random lottery to fight to the death as they are broadcasted on tv, to win a large sum of money and food for their home districts. This movie, as a whole, has a very large psychopathic message. Also, some of the characters in this movie, in a sense, are psychopaths. Some characters are very scared of being chosen to fight and some are scared to die, while on the other hand, some characters are excited to see the battle to the death and cannot wait to make bets on who will win this year. Psychopathy is shown in this movie in the forms of the games and the many characters that it possesses.
