1. Introduction
In my essay I will discuss the policy making process in public administration and critically analyse the process of policy making. I will also discuss the common problems of policy and how these problems can be addressed ad solved.
2. Background
Public policy refers to the action taken by government; its decisions that intended to solve problems and improve the quality of life for its citizens. At the federal level, public policies are enacted to regulate industry and business, to protect citizens at home and abroad, to aid state and city government and people such as the poor through funding programs and to encourage social goals.
3. The policy making process The policy making process is divided into different stages which go hand in hand in hand to solve a problem within the society. The stages are as follows; Agenda setting, Formulation and Legitimation of Goals and Programs, Programs Implementation, Evaluation of Implementation, Performance and Impacts, Decisions about the future of Policy and Program. 3.1) Policy Agenda
