After Napoleon gained power, he started to make money by selling items. One of the items was the hen’s eggs. Napoleon wanted to sell it, but the hens refuse to give them and hid on the rafters of the barn. Napoleon having complete control of the farm, staved them until they gave in. This shows two types of power, Napoleon’s control of the farm and the power for getting money which he made corrupt when he staved the hens.

Finally, in The Pearl one of the character the doctor already had wealth and power.
In the story when Kino’s son was sick they when to the doctor to cure him, but the doctor refused. The doctor already having so much power was corrupted because he didn’t see the poor as people. The doctor chooses to help only those who can afford it, making him corrupted because he sould help everyone; not only those who have money. In Animal Farm at the end the same thing happen with Napoleon. In the end, the pigs and Napoleon acted like humans; their mines were so corrupted by power that they thought they were more equal than the other animals. This is show by Napoleon getting rid of a rule calling all animals comrades. This is corrupted because everyone is equal.

In conclusion, both The Pearl and Animal Farm shows the theme of power corrupting people's minds; by showing characters minds, like Kino and the doctor and Napoleon from getting their minds corrupt by

This quote applies to George Orwell's political novella, Animal Farm: A Fairy Story, which symbolizes the Russian Revolution by portraying various leaders and supporters though allegorical characters. However, when a new leader comes to power, their original idea of an idealistic society, when put into reality, becomes a dystopia. Napoleon utilizes fear and manipulation…

Thesis: In the classic novel Animal Farm, the author, George Orwell shows how societal corruption can occur through propaganda, pride, and hypocrisy. The book opens with a rebellion being led by the cows on the farm as they fought for their rights and better treatment. This rebellion began with secret meetings being held with all the animals on the farm. Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer, who led the secret meetings, used the term “Animalism” as a reference to the teachings of Old Major. Old Major was a pig who dreamt of a rebellion against the farmers, which would leave the animals in charge. These early meetings led by three pigs (Napoleon, Snowball, and Squealer), were the early stages of using propaganda to rally and organize the animals of the farm. Napoleon was seen as the strongest example of Corruption in the book; his use of power was for his own purpose, using the threat of force and coercion to compel the other animals to do his bidding and commands. He uses propaganda to confuse and brainwash some animals in thinking what he is doing is for the greater good of the animals and their home. The use of the Napoleon’s personal dogs was to threaten any animal that opposes his command or protests’.
