English 1100 Section 23
Summary of “The Opposite Sex” “The Opposite Sex” by Steven Doloff informs readers of an experiment done in an English class in order to determine how one would act if given the task of spending the day in the life of the opposite gender. Doloff states that from four classes, about 100 were turned in. After thoroughly reading them, the author’s predicament about the outcome became more and more evidently true. Females took the role of males surprisingly well. They performed masculine acts such as applying cologne, participating in sports, and changing their attire into what was considered masculine. Male students however, were less comfortable taking on the feminine role.
