The Ninth Doctor Is My Doctor
My Doctor is The Ninth Doctor

My Doctor is the Ninth Doctor. “Doctor who?” you may ask. The Doctor is the eponymous character in “Doctor Who,” the iconic British television show that first aired 51 th years ago. The show’s popularity extends beyond Britain all over the world – in fact the 50 Anniversary episode set a Guinness World Record by simultaneously broadcasting in 94 countries in 15 languages all around the world, by far and away the most ever for a scripted television show!

The premise of the show is the life and adventures of a traveler, Dr. Who, who travels through time and space fighting evil. His mode of transportation is the TARDIS – Time And
Relative Dimension In Space machine, which is disguised as a blue British police box. The
Doctor is often called upon to protect many different species and planets and is most often the protector of Earth and the human race. The character is written to be an alien who regenerates into a new body whenever he dies. This allows the show to continue on for years; even after an actor playing the character of Dr. Who leaves the show. Dr. Who originally aired in 1963, but the show took a break from filming in 1999. The current Dr. Who series restarted in 2005. The seasons from that year, up until now, are referred to as the New
Doctor Who, or the New Who seasons. Since the show restarted, there have been four new th th th th doctors, referred to as the 9
, 10
, 11
, and 12 doctor. The show is broadcasted all over the world and has millions of fans, both young and old. And while some may say that it is up for debate which of the doctors is the greatest, I am here to tell you that the Ninth Doctor, played by the fantastic Christopher Eccleston, is the best.

It is often said that one’s favorite doctor is the one you grew up with, or first saw, and I must confess that this is the case with me. I first saw Dr. Who with Christopher Eccleston as the ninth doctor
