In university, almost every student needs textbooks for their courses; however, most of these books are heavy and expensive. Most professors require students in their classes buy the textbooks for their course. Many people think that buy the text book is not necessary. Because there are many things which are electronic equipment we can use to instead of the textbooks. But some people disagree with this opinion, they think textbooks are important, nothing can replace it. Many people think text books should be replaced by other electronic products, but most people are still using text book, because it is healthier than an electronic screen. For example, gazing at electronic screen too long time will cause visual symptoms, using electronic equipment too long will cause obesity if user spends too much time on it, and the radiator form electronic equipment will cause skin problem. There are many people got some visual symptoms when they work with electronic screen. Goldsborough (2007) writes that “Several studies over the years have shown that one or more of these visual symptoms occurs in 75 to 90 percent of people working at a computer.”(P12). Reading "" by Jon Marcus talks about why are text books and college cost so expensive. How I feel about text books and college being expensive is not fair because after college people are in debt and you only used textbooks at least one semester. I don't agree that we should have software for textbooks because people like me like to write and feel the looseleaf paper textbooks. I understand the paper textbooks or hardback textbooks better then online it gives you more information. However, the online textbooks would be good to look up words we do not know or give us more in depth of the paragraph we are reading. Being in debt is not good especially when some people only go for 2-3 years and not finish but it is their fault for not finishing…
