It upholds the development and value of research in nursing and client care, delivers significant management, increases the amount of skilled nurse researchers, and serves as a point of communication with other bases of health care research. The NINR encourages and conducts scientific and basic research and research training on health and illness across the life span. The research focus includes health promotion and disease prevention, value of life, health disparities, and end of life.
