Characters:
Jason Grace is the brother of Thalia and son of Zeus/ Jupiter. Thalia Grace is the sister of Jason, daughter of Zeus/ Jupiter, and Hunter of Artemis. Piper McLean is the daughter of Aphrodite/Venus. Tristan McLean is the father of Piper, a famous actor and member of Cherokee tribe. Leo Valdez is the son of Hephaestus/ Vulcan.Dylan is a student from Camp Wilderness who is a venti (Roman version) or an anemoi thuellai (Greek version) which are storm spirits. Annabeth Chase is the daughter of Athena/ Minerva and the girlfriend of Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson is the son of Poseidon/ Neptune and boyfriend of Annabeth Chase. Coach Gleeson Hedge is a coach for the Wilderness school, which is a special school, a satyr in Greek terms and a faun in Roman terms, which is a human but with goat features, and a protector from Camp Half-Blood. Chiron is a centaur, which is a half-man half-horse creature, son of Titan Croons and current director of Camp Half-Blood, which is a camp for Greek demigods. Rachel is a friend of Annabeth and an oracle. Festus is the bronze metal dragon made by cabin 9, which is from Camp Half-Blood which is for the children of Hephaestus, and repaired by Leo.
Hera is the wife of Zeus, goddess of marriage and queen of the gods. Roman form: Juno. Aeolus is the Greek god of the winds Roman form: Aeolus. Apollo is the Greek god of sun, prophecy, music, and healing; son of Zeus and twin of Artemis Roman form: Apollo. Ares is the Greek god of war; son of Zeus and Hera, and half- brother of Athena Roman form: Mars. Artemis is the Greek goddess of hunt and moon; the daughter of Zeus and twin of Apollo Roman form: Diana. Boreas is the Greek god of the North wind, one of the four directional anemoi (wind gods); the god of winter; father of Khione. Roman form: Aquilon. Demeter is the Greek goddess of agriculture, a daughter of the Titans Rhea and Kronos. Roman form: Ceres. Dionysus is the Greek god of wine; son of Zeus. Roman form: Bacchus. Gaea is the Greek personification of Earth. Roman form: Terra. Hades is ruler of the Underworld and god of the dead. Roman form: Pluto. Hecate is the Greek goddess of magic; the only child of the Titans Perses and Asteria. Roman form: Trivia. Hermes is the Greek god of travelers, communication, and thieves; son of Zeus Roman form: Mercury. Hypnos is the Greek god of sleep; the (fatherless) son of Nyx (night) and brother of Thanatos (Death). Roman form: Somnus. Iris is the Greek goddess of rainbow, and a messenger of the gods; the daughter of Thaumas and Electra. Roman form: Iris. Janus is the roman god of gates, doors, and doorways, as well as beginning s and endings. Khione is the Greek goddess of snow; daughter of Boreas. Notus is the Greek god of the south wind, one of the four directional anemoi (wind gods). Roman form: Favonius. Ouranos is the Greek personification of the sky. Roman form: Uranus. Pan is the Greek god of the wild; the son of Hermes Roman form: Faunus. Pompona is the roman goddess if plenty.

    As the book opens, Jason awakens on a school bus, unable to remember who or where he is, or anything about his past. He is sitting next to Piper McLean and Leo Valdez, who call him by name and say they are his girlfriend and best friend respectively. All three are part of a class field trip to the Grand Canyon, and after they arrive, a classmate Dylan turns into a Venti (Storm Spirit) and attacks the trio and their trip leader, Coach Gleeson Hedge. In the ensuing fight, Jason surprises everyone, including himself, when one of his coins turns into a sword which he uses to battle the storm spirits. Coach Hedge, who reveals himself to be a satyr during the fight, is taken captive by a fleeing spirit. After the battle, a flying chariot arrives to rescue the trio, but one of the people in it, Annabeth, is upset when she discovers that her missing boyfriend, Percy Jackson, is not there as she expected. Annabeth, seeking Percy, was told in a vision from the goddess Hera to look there for the "guy with one shoe", but this turns out to be Jason, who had a shoe destroyed during the fight.…
