The Lion King And Hamlet Comparison
In the movie The Lion King, there are major differences that occur also in between with Hamlet. The Lion King is one of Disney’s most well-known movie and also a favorite to not only adult audiences but to children. It is one of Disney’s most loved films also because it showed animals, love, and how to sing Hakuna Matata. But did you know that The Lion King and Shakespeare’s play Hamlet have the same characteristics and qualities between each other? There are many differences with these two, but these both coincide with each other. The Lion King, directs the camera to Simba, a spirited lion cub that is anxious to become king. But his green Uncle Scar is plotting to take his “rightful place,” to rule, and to force Simba from the African kingdom. Lonesome and free, Simba soon unites the jaunt of a comical meerkat Timon and his affectionate warthog buddy Pumbaa. Accepting both of their lighthearted lifestyle, Simba pays no attention to his real responsibilities until he recognizes his fate and goes back to the herd to claim his crown. The audience is probably feeling remorse in The Lion King probably because they see the great and powerful King of Africa murdered by the brother. Especially when even Simba witnesses the tragedy. But as the story grows deeper, it grows into being happiness is key to going through tough times and with the help of Timon and Pumbaa, there are “No Worries.” When the story comes to a closing, people see a prince that had to start all over, rise to the top, and conquer the great evil uncle to be indebted into the Royal Throne. They are urging for joy and happiness. But with Hamlet, the audience is a different story. Shakespeare writes tragedies all the time with love sequenced into them. So as the story is created, the audience is saddened because of important roles dying throughout the story that are all specific references to each and one
