The Life of Being Mary Jane Just shy of her forty-first birthday Gabrielle Union has accomplished so much in such a small time of her career. Gabrielle Union is mostly known for her role as a cheerleader named Isis in Bring It On. She also played along with, actor, Will Smith in Bad Boys II. Since then Gabrielle made several appearances in many magazines and movies, over the course of this year. On a breezy fall day in Nebraska, October 29, 1972 to be exact, Gabrielle Monique Union was brought into this world. Her parents Sylvester and Theresa Union were thrilled to have a beautiful baby. She is the middle child in the family of four daughters. Gabrielle was raised being a devoted catholic and still cares her faith with her religion. At the age of eight her family and her packed up and moved 1,670 miles to Pleasanton, California. She then grew up in Pleasanton where she went to high school and gained her love of sports. In high school she became all-star point-guard in basketball and participated in track and soccer. After high school, Gabrielle attended college at University of Nebraska, and then later transferred to Cuesta College. Eventually, she ended up at UCLA. On her way to law school all of a sudden her senior year things drastically changed. Gabrielle had a college internship at a L.A. modeling agency, she thought it would be an easy way to pick up some extra credits. Little than she knows it’s just beyond an internship. Gabrielle’s first audition was picked up without any headshots at all with the famous television show, Saved by the Bell. She was cast in her first leading role in the 2003 film Deliver Us from Eva. Her most recent appearance was in Steve Harvey’s Think like a Man last year along with other notable stars. Next year to follow up with Think like a Man Gabrielle will also appear in Think like a Man Too. This summer a new Gabrielle has emerged into the entertainment world with a movie that played on BET.
