The Devil and Miss Prym and The Incredible Hulk have a vast range of similarities. Each of the stories main characters are faced with choices that don’t only effect them but everyone around them. The choices these characters make will change the world they live in but whether that change be for the good or the bad is yet to be seen. In this paper I will explore the similarities and the difference of a young women who lives in a small village working as a bartender, and a celebrated physicist who has had an unexpected complication to an experiment which has made him have a bit of a anger problem. The first obvious conflict is Bruce verses the Hulk. Bruce isolates himself with the hopes of riding himself from his inner demon. While he is in isolation a General that is after the Hulk for military usage finds him and tries to capture him. Which brings us to the second conflict in this story Hulk verses Society. The military attempts to capture Bruce Banner so The Hulk unleashes himself in order to protect Banner. The Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner, Banner then realizes that he needs to find a cure so that the power of the Hulk doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. Banner goes back to where the Hulk was created and meet up with his love interest Elizabeth Ross. Ross serves as Bruce Banner’s angel, Ross helps Banner realize that The Hulk is not the devil but in fact an extension of himself.( Burrell, …show more content…
It takes you inside Miss Prym’s mind and thought process. There were a plethora of times throughout the book when Chantal made you believe she was going to steal the gold and runaway but she stayed and matured. That’s why the archetype for this story is Journey. Chanel never had an easy life, she was a orphanage and the only person who truly cared for her was dead. When Chantal went to the villagers to convince them that they were not murderers she was taking her final step within her own personal struggled journey. These two stories archetypes have similarities Hulk went on a similar journey like Miss Prym the difference is we could not see the struggle as much. The dialogue in Miss Prym allowed us to read Chantal’s thoughts which lead us into her journey. Hulk was not as forthcoming with dialogue.(Altshuler, Janero
