The Importance Of The Mexican Culture
There are a ton of latino stereotypes and it is true that depending on where you live you will either be welcome or you wont, but you are right when you talk about the lack of educated latinos and that doesnt included the hispanics, mexicans, tejanos of course most are lumped in together as one group which is far from true. Education is not really seen as a necessity for the latino's, I think a lot of it has to do with the heavy emphasis on the family which is one thing I love about the mexican culture, it took me moving to Georgia to realize just how much I love that part of myself. The problem is with the culture is your roles are previously defined women run the house and the men provided and you are shamed if you do not complete your role.
