The issue on homelessness is a very serious dilemma. There are over 600,000 homeless people in the US, according to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Of those bunch, a quarter of them are children, which amounts to an overwhelming, 138,000 that are under the age of 18. Imagine these people, climbing into dirty dumpsters filled with vile trash, just so they can be shielded from the wind and sheltered from the cold. A simple roof over their heads and food can easily be taken for granted by others who are more fortunate.
