Mishell, Jr., MD – Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California –, women were employing “coat hangers or knitting needles or radiator flush to induce abortions”, before professionally-performed abortions were legalized in 1976 (Morrison, par. 7). Indeed, while 39 maternal deaths from illegal abortions were reported in the United States through 1972, abortion-related deaths declined to two by 1976. However, according to The World Health Organization, unsafe “abortions induce nearly 68,000 women deaths worldwide each year”, mainly in emergent countries, since professional services are practically inaccessible and abortions are socially not accepted due to misconceptions…

The world has many worldviews and perhaps is not such a big deal for them to simply end the life of an unborn child. For instance “The length of time an abortion is allowed in Canada." Yet this is unquestionably true: abortion is legal in Canada from conception to birth “(Coyne, 2016). Sadly, heartbreaking and gruesome at the same time is the way they have no respect for the human life and no fear of God. Their lack of morals and ethical standards does not allow them to see that whether is one day or nine months into the pregnancy there’s a life desiring to have the same opportunity to live and experience life, just like them. On the other hand for the Christian worldview from the moment that baby was conceived it becomes a valuable human…

Abortion is the act of killing the foetus or baby while it is still in the mother's womb. In the US and many other countries this is legal for the first four months of the pregnancy as aborting after four months is said to be terminating the life of not so much a foetus but a baby. There are a few different methods of abortion. One is to have the baby surgically removed through which the baby's feet are pulled by the abortionist and the living baby is pulled out of the womb except for the head. The abortionist then creates a wound in the base of the baby's skull with scissors or a metal tube and removes the baby's brain with a sucking vacuum-like machine before completely delivering a dead baby. Another way is to medically abort which involves taking medication in the form of a tablet to make impossible conditions in the womb for the baby to live and then delivering the dead foetus.…

Although the United states faces its biggest decline of abortion rate in 2009 at 784,507 abortions as reported to CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), its number is still more than double of an information from Women 's Health and Reproductive Right and Foundation of Thailand, and an organization in Thailand where birth control is non-prescriptive, that presents a number of 300,000 abortions at a national average per yer. Abortion seems to be resulted from such a high unintended pregnancy rate that continues to be one of the national major problems in the United States as it brings down life quality of the populations; limitation of education, expanding of poverty and related health problems from stress, abortion and low-quality…

“Abortion is not a crime in Canada but it is an area of the law” (Duhaime, 2010) that isn’t black and white. It has been completely legal since 1988 and our government should keep it that way. For as much as some people are anti-abortion or ‘pro-life’ they need to understand that women have abortions for a variety of reasons one being that an abortion can actually benefit the unborn child. Those who are anti-choice also claim that abortion is wrong because it violates the rights of the fetus, but what about the rights of the woman? It is a woman’s right to decide what she does with her body and though it is much debated; a fetus by logical argument is not a person and does not hold any rights. Finally, even if abortion was made illegal as it was many decades ago, desperate measure to abort unwanted children would be taken by many expecting women, with dire consequences. It is from these four statements that one can say that abortion should continue to be legal in Canada.…

It all began in the year of 1973 when the Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional for states to prohibit women from having an abortion. The court ruled “…that the states were forbidden from outlawing or regulating any aspect of abortion performed during the first trimester of pregnancy, could only enact abortion regulations reasonably related to maternal health in the second and third trimesters, and could enact abortion laws protecting the life of the fetus only in the third trimester” (caselaw.findlaw.com). The courts decided to allow abortions based on the constitution’s first, fourth, ninth, and fourteenth amendment, saying that abortion falls under a woman’s “zone of privacy”. Ever since 1973, there has been controversy with abortion.…
