The Importance Of APA Formatting
It is important to learn and utilize proper APA formatting of in-text citations and references so you will not commit plagiarism. Plagiarism is when you take what someone else said and use it like it is yours. The in-text citation and references will tell the reader where you found the information you are using. At my previous school, I was found guilty of plagiarism for a six-word sentence. If you paraphrase or take a direct quote, you have to tell where you received the information from. I received an automatic failing grade for the assignment and was not allowed to make up the assignment. Understanding citations and references will be vital for you in your future classes.

Note that strict APA citation format is required. That means that any material that is not your own must be cited within the test area. If that is not done, I will asume that the material was copied and not cited. In that case, a zero will be awarded as a grade. In cases wwhere that has happened in the past, the student has failed the course. This means any line of material used from any other source must be cited.…

Through the internet and corporate websites, global access is available to companies of all sizes, providing the ability to communicate easily across time zones (Javalgi, Radulovich, Pendleton, & Scherer, 2005). While some website standardization is acceptable, content modification for country and cultural differences maximizes communication effectiveness, increasing the ease of using the site (Singh et al.). However, the company must still strive for organization and product consistency of…

The very first thing that came to my mind regarding the answer to this question was Bethel’s high moral standards as a Christian university for all students they serve. Plagiarism is a growing epidemic in today’s academic world. Whether it was done intentionally or not, every student needs to realize that plagiarism is essentially theft. To avoid this occurrence, I always try to remember how I would feel if someone else was to take full credit for my work. Throughout the entirety of my higher educational journey, I have always used MLA formatting. Utilizing APA formatting will be a completely new thing for me to undertake and learn. It is important to give proper credit where it is due when paraphrasing or using someone else’s work. Being honest…

APA! What is APA? APA is an abbreviation that stands for “American Psychological Association”. People that may not know the word APA might feel as if it’s something that doesn’t really have a grand meaning, but others that do, know it has an extravagant value. APA Style was created by a group of social scientists who wanted to establish sound standards of communication eighty years ago. Ever since, many leaders in various fields have been utilizing this format. For instance, nursing, education, anthropology, and even Contemporary English textbooks. As a result of its universal presence in the landscape of research and scientific publishing, APA style manages to categorize the writing practices of a large discourse community.…
