The Holocaust: A Short Story
It was a chilly fall morning , kids were outside playing and laughing, having a good time. But that soon was going to change. My friend karl has always been nice to me even though i was jewish and he wasn’t. Most of the kids weren't that nice to us during the Holocaust time period. Me being jewish started a lot of problems with karl and me vs the world. I will tell you how it started.
It was a quiet night it had been like that for awhile now. I soon fell asleep. In the middle of the night people came in our house and woke every body in the house. I heard my dad screaming as they killed him. They sent his ashes in a box yesterday the funeral was also yesterday. I was very sad once they killed my dad but i had to stay strong because of my mom. And a couple days after i awake and hear a knock at the door. I opened the door and it was karl. I was surprised that carl came over. I just expected him not to be my friend because i was jewish. I looked at Karl and he looked like he had just seen a ghost, pale and tired looking. We didn't say anything to each other for a awhile but then the …show more content…
We asked what was wrong and she said they killed her husband. Because early that day, when he found me and karl, he screamed because he was so angry about them killing our moms and dads. It was just going to be me and Karl and the janitor's wife from now on. I knew she would keep us safe no matter what. The janitor's wife was a very nice lady and was so nice to take us in. we went outside to see a bunch of people huddled together. So after that guards made the janitor's wife to push me and karl up to the front. Soon after papers fell out of the sky that read “FOR SHAME! DON'T LET THE AUSTRIAN PEOPLE BECOME ANIMALS!” Right after the papers fell down. I see guards beating people. We ran into one of berta (janitor's wife) friends. Berta explained how bad our situation was to her
