The Hero's Journey In The Griever
A boy wakes up in an elevator with no recollection of his name, where he comes from, or where he is. As he emerges from the earth, he finds himself in a community of boys, living in a glade. As the boy slowly starts unearthing memories, such as his name, Thomas, he also finds out more sinister things from the other boys about the place he's landed. The boys are held prisoners within the centre of a gigantic maze, and for three years they've been looking for a way out. And now it's up to Thomas to find that way. But the road isn't going to be easy, as any who dares enter the maze finds himself hunted by the Grievers.
The main characters: Thomas- He becomes a Runner with Minho after being the first person to spend a whole night in the Maze and saves Alby when he was about to die. He finds the way out of the Maze and helps the Gladers escape through the Griever Hole with their help, especially Teresa's.
Teresa-She is also known to help Thomas out of the maze and fight the grievers in the griever hole.

Alby commits suicide by walking into a group of Grievers, thinking that it was better that he die there than outside the Maze.
The problem:
The main problem in the story is to find the way out of the labyrinth to the outside world. The main adventure is the story of the investigation was the maze and return memory to the people in the maze.
My favorite character:
The character I particularly liked the story is Thomas, because Thomas did not give up and kept looking for a way out of the maze while also cared for his

    The book starts off when Thomas arrives to the Glade in the Box. When Thomas gets out of the Box he can’t remember anything, he can’t remember his family, friends, age, or even his last name. Alby ,which is the leaders of the Gladers, shows him around the Glade and answers few of Thomas' many questions. Him and Chuck, Glader that be friends Thomas, talk for awhile before going to sleep. The next day Alby and Minho (runner) go into the maze to find a dead Griever, only to find out that it was not dead. The Griever that they believed to be dead was very much alive and attacked Alby. Minho then has to drag Alby to the Doors to get the cure. They don’t make it to the Doors in time and Thomas steps into the maze just in time to get trapped inside with Alby and Minho. They stay in the maze overnight and run from Grievers. When they return in the morning. They have a gathering to discuss what happened and how they should punish Thomas for disobeying the rules. Minho who is the Keeper of the Runners tells the other Keepers that he wants Thomas to take his place.…
