    In the first interaction with the Happy Prince He mentions how he lived in a castle called Sance-Souci (meaning, no worries in French) where sorrow was not allowed, the Prince did not know sorrow. The Happy Prince mentions how he lived in luxury and he did not ask what was behind the soft walls outside the castle. When you think of it why should he bother asking about what miseries and happiness that could exist behind castle walls? Anyway, he mentions that he was placed in his city decorated with beautiful accessories like rare gems and gold, though his heart is made out of lead. He was placed so he could see all misery and poverty the people had to endure. When the swallow felt the Happy Prince’s tears fall on him he asked who he was and The Happy Prince introduced himself and told the little swallow about his sad feelings. The little swallow acted as a messenger for the Prince. When the swallow did good deed he said that he felt all warm even though it was cold outside. The prince gave permission to the swallow to take his gems and when he was out of gems the bird died and the Statue (The Happy Prince) was melted down because ‘’He is little better than a beggar’’ as the mayor said. The prince was not looking noble anymore but he died happy without any luxurious items, doing good deeds.…
