The Guide to the Perfect Date

Do you think the perfect date would be going to taco bell? Or how about White Castle? The perfect date, as we all know it to be, would not be either of those two places. The perfect date would be something that was heartfelt and was meant to impress your date. The three things that would make the date perfect would be the occasion of the date, the location for the date, and most importantly the gift that was appropriate for the occasion. First, impress your girlfriend/boyfriend by planning the date on a day that has a special meaning to you and your date. Yes, we all go on those little dates with our boyfriend/girlfriend, but the perfect date would be for an event that means something. A special occasion could be an anniversary, Valentine’s Day, or maybe even a proposal. The second thing that would make the date perfect would be the location of the date. For instance, if you were going out for an anniversary, you would not take your date to White Castle. You would probably take them to a nicer restaurant like Applebee’s or Olive Garden. On the other hand, if you were going to propose to your date, you would probably take them to a really fancy restaurant like Eagle’s Nest. The third, and most important thing to make a date perfect, would be the gift you get for your date. For example, if you were going out for your two year anniversary, you would probably get your date a card with a sweet little not inside and a bouquet of flowers. However, if you were going out for your two year anniversary, you would probably surprise her with a card, a bouquet of flowers, and box of chocolate, and maybe even “pop the question” by the end of the night. Now that you know a little about the perfect date, I hope you can impress your girlfriend/boyfriend on your next special occasion. Just remember the perfect date is a special date that is

As mentioned before, the process of dating has drastically changed over the past thirty years. One could argue that the respect and value of dating is not exactly what it used to be. In the 1980s, dating would actually involve going on many dates and getting to know a person before committing to an exclusive relationship. In 2013, if a young man is interested in a young woman, he looks at her Facebook profile and follows her Twitter posts. Then after talking for a week or two over text messages, they are in an exclusive relationship. The concept of dating, which can be defined as going out on dates to see if there is a possibility of a relationship, is gone. In present time, once a couple is exclusive they may go to dinner together, see movies, go to a concert, etc., but these activities were not done as a part of the courtship.…

In the 1920’s, my ideal date would take place in New York City, and would start around noon and probably end sometime in the late night. First, I picked up my date at her parent’s house. She had a nice picnic lunch packed, and we were going to walk to Central Park. The picnic consisted of dry sausage, prosciutto, and a mixture of olives, an assortment of cheeses, some tomatoes in olive oil, and a loaf of Italian bread. It was a long walk to Central Park, but we were hungry, and we knew that once we ate, it would be a relaxing walk back. We had our picnic on a little hill in the park, overlooking a nice pond. All around us, there were trees with their leaves changing colors, and children throwing a ball around. On the walk back, we talked about many things, like life, politics, jobs, business, and what we eventually would want to do with our lives. After that, we talked about what we would like to do later. We decided to stay at her parent’s house for dinner, and then maybe go to a nightclub afterwards. When we got back, I helped her parents set up the table for dinner while she got changed and freshened up. After a nice Italian dinner of broccoli rabe and sausage, some more Italian bread, and a dessert of cannolis and gelato, my date and I decided to go out to a nightclub. We took the New York City subway, and I could have sworn that we saw Henry Ford standing not too far away from us. When we got to the club, The Back Room, we found that it was already quite crowded, and that everybody else was dressed like us. The guys all wore suits and ties, some with hats and some without. The women, however, were a different story. They all wore clothes from the new “flapper” fashion, but that’s where the similarities stopped. My date was wearing a sleeveless dress that ended just before the knees, shoes and stockings, and she had her hair cut short, was wearing a pearl necklace and carried a purse. We spent most of the night there, smoking and drinking beer…

I feel that a relationship should always be based upon honesty and acceptance. When you can fully accept yourself, honesty will come naturally. This in return will leave your partner feeling comfortable with you, knowing there is nothing to hide. If two people can see each other in full view with complete acceptance, they can build a successful relationship from this Honey..i do want you to know that am not here for game..i do want to be with you and show you how i do care for you..One key secret to a successful relationship is compromise. Meeting halfway on things shows your partner that you really do care about their viewpoint and you are willing to work on making each other happy. Every so often make it a point to do something that you normally would not agree to or feel like doing. When you keep your partner constantly surprised by your actions, you regenerate that "new love" feeling time and time again. So, when your partner asks if you want to try that new restaurant…Love is obviously a crucial element in a successful long-term relationship. But having love isn't enough. You need to be in love. The phrase "love is a verb, not a noun" certainly applies here. Don't hesitate to write that quick love note, give that deep kiss, sit next to each other at a restaurant or hold hands in public. The little things go a long way towards establishing a deep, intimate connection with your partner. As simple as it sounds, this action is probably the most commonly overlooked and ignored. To always communicate with each other. Be honest and never doubt each other. Trust in one another. Love one another and be as one...Communication is important to me,because i believe if something is bothering you about the other person, talk to them about it. Don't let it eat at you and hope that they are going to change. How will they change if you don't tell them..…

One insignificant thing that made me uncomfortable was when you held my hand, you did it the wrong way. Instead of interlocking fingers like most people do, you cupped your hand against mine, but I guess most people do not strip the dignity off other people. Nevertheless, while we were at the pet store, you came behind me, wrapped your arms around me in a way that made me cringe, and whispered provocative things in my ear. This increased my dislike towards you, but, again, I overlooked it. By this point you bought the tickets and I did not want to leave in the middle of the date due to an awkward comment. Frankly, I have yet to be on a first date lacking…

During my preparation for prom, I was so nervous because I didn’t know what to do. The smell of hairspray, nail polish and makeup filled the atmosphere. I decided to text my date to get my mind off my nervous tendencies. My date was my boyfriend. For him, it was his second prom. He had graduated a year before me so all the excitement for him was already long gone. He reassured me that this night was going to be everything I expected it to be.
