The Firkus Circus Research Paper
The Firkus Circus
By one of the Firkus Circus members: Sierra Firkus

Hi! If you keep reading you will learn why my dad calls us the Firkus Circus! We are always active, adventurous, or sometimes just plain old bored! Even though we might be busy we always make time to spend with each other. Let me tell you the story of the Firkus and Stanich Circus!

So, if I didn't have my older half sister it would be the Firkus Circus, only saying that it's the Firkus and Stanich Circus because of my sister. Our families don't get along (at least my mom, our dad, her mom, and her step-dad don't.) I will be writing from oldest to youngest. The oldest is my dad and the youngest is either my cat or my younger sister. (I think my cat is older than my

Let's start with four facts about him! So, my dad is goofy, in fact so goofy that he pretends that he is 29 again when he is really actually 45, almost 46! Now, my family is really goofy and all so that's why he calls us the Firkus Circus! We are so goofy that we are like a pack of baby wolf pups the never stop playing! When we get the chance to spend time as a family we always take it. In my opinion, Dan is one of the funniest, coolest, and most goofy dads you will ever meet! Now, let’s move on to what he does in his spare time. This is probably one of the things he does the most, he plays Asphalt 8 on his phone! He is like a geeky nerd who is addicted to the games on phones! Daniel also like spending time with family, riding his motorcycle, and my dad sorts out his tools and stuff in his garage! We spent a lot of time together when i was little because Dan had cancer and my mom was working, so that is really important to me. I love him because he helps me through fun and rough times. He also helps me with my homework even if he isn’t good at it. My dad likes Chevrolet, and motorcycles that look awesome! He also likes elephants, and classic muscle cars! What he doesn’t like is Ford’s, rude people, and drama! He also doesn’t like dirty litter boxes! Who does? I would describe him as awesome, generous, funny, and especially goofy. Now you’ve meet my …show more content…
My mom! Four facts about Ann are, she is 40 but sometimes I wonder if she likes to pretend she is 29 again too, then again she had me when she was 29 so I really wouldn't know. She, like all mothers, of course love me. A lot of mothers do this to I’m guessing, she cheers me up when I’m down. One more thing about her is that she is smiling a lot of the time. She doesn't have much time to do anything else because she is always watching my little sister when nobody else can, she usually cleans, organizes or spends time with family. The next is memorie. I have a lot of memories of baking cakes and cookies but she also took me to church for Awana on wednesday’s. We also took long 6 hour trips to Iowa in our little VW convertible which we sold a while back because at the time we were living in MInnesota while my dad was down in a hotel room working in Iowa. My mom like nature bike rides, the apparent ultimate driving experience, and spending time with family. What Ann doesn't like is moving as of now, rude people, and people making the same mistake over and over again. I would describe her as practical, logical, loving, and warm hearted! NOw you’ve meet Ann or my mom whatever you want to call

When I think about someone who seems to fit this bill, only one person comes to mind, my grandmother of 69 years of age. I am an eyewitness to the love and sacrifice exuded by her on the day to day through her unconditional willingness to help others and her desire to spend quality time with them. However, my knowledge of the way my grandma lived her life prior to me being born is very limited and with her only growing older and older, the story of her life is slowly fading further into oblivion. This is my attempt to remember her while she is still with us. This is the story of my grandmother, Mary Kay Amodo.…

My mother is the most caring person I have ever met, and will probably ever know. She has dark, silky hair that I wish I would've inherited. My hair is mousy brown, dull, and impossible to work with. At least it's hidden under a bonnet. I think I'm my mother's favorite, though she would never admit it. I like to help her around the house, and she tells me I say a lot of things that get her thinking. I really believe that I could convince her to leave with me.…

One of the things we talked about in our group was about Baileys significance in the story. We could not find any real reason that he was there except to add another view point of the circus in the story. Bailey's had his own side story in the book which made the story more real. The second thing that we also discussed was what happened in the story so far. We talked about how the book, “The Night Circus”, is a fairytale most likely set in the Victorian Era . The description of the way the characters talked, the scenery, clothing described as long dresses that went down to the ankle worn with gloves, and the girls hair was styled up in a bun all gave a old time feeling.…

We love to learn and travel, eat exotic and luxuries food, spend time with family, and we both have an incredible urge for knowledge. The Butterfly Circus is an inspiring short film. It gave me a great impact especially during my very first beginning weeks of Master in Learning Sciences classes. I still feel miserable and less confident to get through this challenging course, but this film came just in time to encourage me, as per the Showman, Mr Mendez said to Will, the limbless man: “ The greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph”.…

My dad is the greatest dad in the whole world. It’s possible every kid thinks that, I know, but I really mean it. He’s got the blackest hair I’ve ever seen and even though he’s in his fifties, there’s not a single grey hair. Weird or what? His eyes are blue and stand out against his dark hair. They’re kinda soft and gentle. Hard to explain but when he looks at me, even when he’s trying to be strict, I smile because he couldn’t look mean if he tried. I love my dad.…
