The Effects of Having a Pet
The effects of having pets are: learning to care about another living being, learning to deal with the pets passing, learning about friendship, loyalty, and protection. Through my experiences with having dogs and cats, I have experienced these effects firsthand. First, learning to care about another living being has helped me to build my responsibility as a whole. It has also helped me to realize that I don’t want children of my own, for fear of losing them. Learning to deal with the passing of my pets has made me realize that living things won’t live forever. However, it has made me appreciate the time I had with them. After their passing, I felt as if I could have done more to help them. But, I had to come to terms with the fact that I could have done nothing to help. Second, learning about friendship by being friends with my animals showed me how two people should be friends. It’s the first of building blocks to having a great pet and owner relationship. For me, being friends with animals is like this wanting to be with each other, getting excited when you came home and seem to understand each other. Third, loyalty is a very strong bond between me and my pet. It’s the second of three building blocks to having a great pet and owner relationship. For example, the pet wanting me and only me and stands by me when people have turned their backs. The third and final building block is protection. For example, the animal is willing to protect me from people and other animals or alerts me to harmful events... The pet looks to me for the same protection that it gives me, which is my duty to provide. In conclusion, the effects of having pets are truly rewarding if people just submit to the true meaning of having a pet. People of all ages can benefit from the experiences of just being around

Growing up I’ve always at least had one pet in my life. Most of my pets have been cats. Owning pet is a great experience. I love learning new thing about my pets. Like what type of food they like to eat and what food they don’t like. Also how they sleep and when they sleep. Having a pet is a great way to learn about animals. Pets can also help children learn responsibility. Such as walking their pet, feeding their pet, and cleaning their pet’s area. Pets are great companions; I love the feeling of coming home and my cats waiting for me at the door, it makes me feel like I’m loved. Some pets are great to exercise with. They can make you laugh like when they do little silly things like getting stuck in a blank. You get so use to having them around they become part of the family. When you’re feeling down just having your pet there can make you feel better. Sometimes your pet knows things before you do. Like if it’s going to rain. Even though I love owning a pet, there are times I wish I didn’t have one. This can also be the benefits of not having a pet. There are lots of things you don’t have to worry about when you don’t have a pet. Like when you go out of town you don’t have to find a place for your pet stay. Pet accidents you never have to worry about. If you have a new born baby you don’t have worry about keeping your pet away from the baby. If you friends that are allergic you don’t have to put away a pet or clean up any pet hair. Sometimes pet owner’s home’s can spell because of their pet. Though interesting and potentially important, studies such as these are difficult to interpret because pet owners may differ in unmeasured ways from people who do not own pets. For example, pet owners may be better adjusted psychologically and have fewer cardiac risk factors (they may eat healthier diets and experience lower levels of hostility) than non–pet owners.…

First and foremost there is the love that you get from owning a dog. It is without a doubt, the most important reason why I want one. One of the most important aspects about the love you that you get from a dog is often mis-understood. The love doesn’t just come out of nowhere. I will have to earn the love that I want. I will have to earn the friendship I seek. I will have to feed it regularly, walk it regularly, play with it regularly, and just show the dog that I care and can be depended upon. When I do this I will have earned a friend for life that I know I can depend on to be there for me. In recent years there have been numerous studies across the world that have been investigating the ways that pet ownership affects society. While many keep their focus on the effects that pets have on their adult owners, other researchers have been exploring the relationship between pets and the children of the owners. It has been noted that there are many benefits to children being exposed to pets and small animals during young and middle childhood, with these effects remaining long-lasting and continuing into adolescence and adulthood (Wells, 2009). This research paper will analyze the interactions found between pets and children, along with the beneficial effects that they have towards a child’s emotional development.…

In my opinion, one major advantage of having a pet is that they can replace people and become one of our nearest and dearest. For instance, if someone lives alone he would find it very enjoyable of having a pet. Furthermore, presence of an animal at home may provide greater feeling of security (especially when this pet is a dog). In addition to this, pets often play the main role in both, the handicapped and disabled people’s lives.…

Growing up, I have always wanted a puppy. I begged my parents for them to take me to a pet store and buy me a puppy but I could never convince them. I have even written long letters requesting for a pet and a huge essay on why I needed one. It was torture; how my friends always talked about funny and interesting stories they have had with their pets, while I have never even had a pet of my own. However after years of begging, my parents finally gave in. They allowed me to take care of one of their friend’s dogs as a trial to see if I could handle my very own pet. Not only was this task one of the hardest things I have ever done, I was barely able to pull through it.…
