The reader can infer that in the story, The Dog That Bit People, Mother tended to blame others for the Airedales(Muggs) actions by reading each scheme and being able to comprehend that Mother always blames others for the actions that Muggs is doing. Thurber is quick to add many details throughout the story and reveals the many different sides of Mother. The reader may now sense how Mother’s actions towards Muggs divulge. In paragraph 7 it explains that many people would like to have Muggs tied up because of his biting.
