Exclusion is not only one person dismissing another, but it can be in fact, to eject someone out of their own life. Whether they realize or not, they begin to isolate themselves. They undertake the feeling of being calm and secure with the world around them. Other factors such as the death of someone close or failing in social areas, begin to contribute to this. If you compare this to ordinary people , you would most likely find that they dislike the idea of being so seclusive. For me personally, I could not get into a small space and think for hours. I would consider this activity, abnormal since I do not do it frequently. However, Christopher does not think of it this way. He considers it as training to become an astronaut in which he wants to be. Astronauts are always in tight spaces and far away from home. This itself would make Christopher a lot more divergent than most of the population. As Christopher wrote the book,"Who Killed Wellington?", he learned secrets not only about someone else, but within him as well. He encouraged himself to do what is right for him. When Christopher learned about the letters that came from his mother, he knew he had to get away. He knew he had to gain the courage to become independent from fear, and from his father.
